She followed her husband, and brought her children along with her. Mrs.Phan is currently 47 years old, and employed. Her hometown is Hue, Vietnam. During the interview, I found out that Mrs.Phan had lived through the liberation of saigon.]]> 2018-10-12 12:27:38 UTC https://padlet.com/morkakn22/xxetg2o01fh5/wish/292123829 When the liberation of Saigon occurred, Mrs.Phan was around the age of four. The Liberation of Saigon was when, Saigon(now Ho Minh City), fell to North Vietnam, on April 30th, 1975. The event marked the end of the Vietnam war. During the war, the United states had armies in Vietnam, to defend south Vietnam from North Vietnam. Saigon ended up falling, because South Vietnam's army wasn't capable of resisting North Vietnam's army, leading them to fall to communist forces(North Vietnam). Today Vietnam is a communist country, because of this event. Some terms in Vietnamese translated in English does not make the correct type of sense, because you cannot identify the correct meaning in English. Which was why Mrs.Phan kept her her answers short, and straight to the point.
