Look at the collage and with your partner, discuss the following questions:
  • What colors do you see? What shapes do you see?
  • Describe the scene. What do you see in the foreground? In the background?
  • Think about your favorite place and tell your partner what it is and what shapes and colors you might use.

]]> 2016-11-05 11:33:28 UTC https://padlet.com/elisaludwig/collagedraft/wish/135539337 Step 3 - Review the task, get your materials and begin your draft.  elisaludwig https://padlet.com/elisaludwig/collagedraft/wish/135965840 Today you will create a draft of your favorite setting in your sketch book (paper if you did not bring one in yet).  You will use pencils and either crayons or colored pencils to give it color.  Note:  You will NOT use erasers today as it is a draft.  You may make revisions in another color so we can see how your idea changed. 

STEPS TO CREATE DRAFT: 

1. If  using paper, write your name and class on your paper

2.  Cut out your image and visualize yourself in your favorite place. Draft the setting. Not a lot of details, just a quick sketch. Do not draw yourself in, just use your picture to help with visualizing. You may add color or write notes on your draft to reference what colors you may use etc. for future reference.  Reminder: Do Not draw yourself or anyone else in the setting today.

3. Give your draft a name - This can change when you go to your final - write it on your paper
