it was a gorgeous day out today, it was 77 degrees out and not a cloud in sight.it was the perfect day for us to go into space. when the crew and I were walking to our ship we realized just how beautiful it was. it stood at 16 feet tall and 9 feet wide it was small but everything we had ever hoped for. we boarded the ship knowing the risks but that didn't bother us, it was time. 10..9...8..7..6..5....4...3...2..1 and we have lift off. no matter the amount of adrenaline that  could be in me could have prepared me for the amount of force we endured, after what felt like eternity we entered orbit and it was a success.]]> 2022-03-10 18:06:38 UTC https://padlet.com/12066501/Bookmarks/wish/2088887268 12066501 https://padlet.com/12066501/Bookmarks/wish/2088915060 October 12, 1964
after entering orbit all I could think about is that after we are done this event that I'm apart of is going to change the world. when we experienced no gravity for the first time let me tell you it was freaky but awesome it was like flying. after all of us had some fun with the no gravity we looked out into space and saw the earth it was magnificent I couldn't believe that there was such a beautiful sight. although we lived there it was a whole entire new thing to see it from above. after witnessing something that earth from above we realized that we had to get to work, the mission was to record and analyze the abnormalities of the body when it has no gravity. so that's what we did I began to run test on myself and the others by drawing blood and recording how they reacted to no gravity.]]> 2022-03-10 18:21:16 UTC https://padlet.com/12066501/Bookmarks/wish/2088915060 12066501 https://padlet.com/12066501/Bookmarks/wish/2088935345 after running the diagnostics and checking to see if anything was wrong we prepared for the next 20 or so hours. although it's not a long time it felt even shorter in space. if you were in our shoes you would also want to play tag while flying, I mean who doesn't. for what seemed like an hour of playing around we realized that we needed to work its been five hours and that we needed to go to bed soon. it was so hard to fall asleep when you where flying or so we thought, turns out after playing tag all of my energy was gone without me realizing it.
