a) The larger idea of this text its that these scientists made special camera's that can see the florescent green light that these sharks give off.
b) 1.The three smaller ideas of the text are that the sharks take blue light and convert it into green florescent light. 2. That to human eyes they aren't a lot to look at, they are brown and grey but to each other they look bright green. 3. And that the sharks use their colors to impress other genders for mating and to communicate.
c) For number 1 the details that support this are that they have molecules in their skin that convert blue light into other color. That they are fluorescence which means that the organism can produce its own light. And that the deeper the shark swims the more blue light is there so the brighter they become.
d) I feel like I can understand the main idea well.

a) It's overall main idea is how that even though animals can outdo robots it jumping, because of this robots size and ability it will be able to help search and rescue after a natural disaster.
b) The three ideas that support this are that the SALTO will have censors that will be able to detect people under ruble. That the SALTO has a special spring in it to prepare for impact to land. And that the impala can jump more than nine feet in the air which greatly out does the robots ability.
c) That the SALTO has special springs in it, the evidence of this is that it has a spring that can store lots more energy than other types of springs. That it has the spring so that if it hits something unexpected it can use the spring to reline itself.
And that it can use the spring to land if it comes down an unexpected way that way it can keep going and not fall down.
