The word, "old," in the sentence is a clue to the word meaning because it is talking about something that can be obtained in a way and then can age with time. Also, later on in the prolog, it says that Romeo "is beloved and loved again" which can be inferred in a way that Romeo is loving something again. The keyword would be something because it is talking about an actual thought or "desire." This word is a bit difficult to have clues lead you to the meaning as it is used in a way that differs from usual word usage.
