UWE's model involves face-to-face learning led by four professionals from education, health, police, and social work disciplines. This interprofessional team models respectful collaboration and communication required for professional practice in this area.

Trainee teachers appreciated the opportunity to discuss issues with the range of professionals (MKO) in a safe environment and develop a clearer understanding of their roles and responsibilities.

Constant policy changes lead to uncertainty and make it necessary for all providers to be knowledgeable of their responsibilities.

There is significant responsiblility on schools and staff to respond to safeguarding concerns.

Some weak ties between different professions like teachers, police etc. this would need to be improved as things can be missed.
