1 - Limited liability- the owners do not have to stake their personal assets in case the business goes bankrupt 
2 - Access to funds- the corporation can sell shares and raise funds unlike a sole proprietor or in partnership who come up with funds on their own
3 - Permanency- shares of coportation can be willed to family members
