Think Pair Share Hack

I wanted my students to do a think-pair-share. For the kids at home, I didn't want to have to start a new Zoom and a breakout room for them. So here's what I did:

-I asked them to unmute themselves so they could talk to each other.
-I muted the speakerphone and turned the volume off so they felt they had some privacy. (You could probably also just turn the speakerphone off.)

That's it! Quick way to let them participate in informal conversations.

I recently discovered that I can scan documents with my iPhone by using the Notes app. Simply tap to create a new note and tap the camera icon, then tap scan document and voilà! It is very useful, especially if you're sharing hard copies of documents or single pages from a textbook with those on Zoom and with the class as well. Once you finish your scan, you can save it to your drive and use it in any way you want!
John

When you insert the disc and the regular DVD Player opens, close it and open VLC. Then click File > Open Disc > Open. Make the video full screen, then go back to Zoom and share your screen.
