It is very useful, especially if you're sharing hard copies of documents or single pages from a textbook with those on Zoom and with the class as well. Once you finish your scan, you can save it to your drive and use it in any way you want!

You have an app installed on the Mac called VLC, which DOES play the DVD correctly through Zoom. When you insert the disc and the regular DVD Player opens, close it and open VLC. Then click File > Open Disc > Open. Make the video full screen, then go back to Zoom and share your screen. Select the DVD window, make sure Optimize Screen Sharing for Video Clip is checked off, and play the movie.
