Diversity — word that describes the different cultures, languages, ethnicities, races, and beliefs of Filipino people. It's like a precious thread that weaves our identity and builds unity among nations. Our uniqueness brings out the beauty, courage, braveness, and the relentless power that has been flowing into our blood for decades. Now the question is, how can we use these diverse aspects of life to ignite unity among Filipinos?

A nation comprising more than 100 million Filipinos with more than 7,000 islands. It creates a natural isolation making the Philippines the most racially diverse country throughout Asia and created over 170 languages, but only uses Filipino and English for nation-wide use.

A country so blessed but sometimes being oppressed. Xenocentrism- a social issue that hinders Filipinos to cherish their own treasure. Do we really want a world where skin colors matter? A world where people only accept what the society seems to be agree upon? The Aetas, Igorots, Africans or the people with disabilities, and even the marginalized sector of this nation.

Honor your own, and all will follow. People across the world should value their diversity in languages and continents. Humanity should accept every difference and commonalities, for these are the ones who build our uniqueness. The community should come as one to resist the plenty of racists, inequality, and xenocentrism.

Diversities are the pieces that make us whole. All people across the world should realize that what we own today, once came from a valued heritage. Creating arts to preserve our heritage, learning and continual use of own dialect are some ways to preserve our culture and language.
