During our weekend in Great Britain we learned about British culture and made our own opinions about the famous "clichés" of this country. Here is the list of the most famous clichés and what we learned about them:

- "The British always drink tea": During our discovery of the city we met friendly British with we had lunch. We were very surprised, many people prefer coffee! We learned that they drink mostly tea at work or when they invite friends or family.

TRUE OR FALSE?: FALSE

- "The British food is terrible": In fact it's like France, just choose your address and dish! We ate very well a few times. Here is a picture of a dish I ate, it was delicious.

TRUE OR FALSE?: FALSE

Then Axelle showed me an article about street art in Glasgow (link below), so we walked around the town searching for some. We found the astronaut one, it was very very impressive. You now, I am a big fan of astronomy. there was a s**t load of others, but they didn't connected with my interests this well, so I barely remember them, sadly, because they were pretty.
https://peoplemakeglasgow.com/things-to-do/city-centre-mural-trail

During our way back to the hotel we did a break in a... cat cafe! the purrple cafe! The cats were extra affective, the drinks and cake really tasty, and the place was so warm. I ate a sort of banana cake, I guess, and the flavour reminded me of my own banana bread I used to made back in years when Axelle and I first met. When we left I felt a little bit sad, because I want a cat soooo bad and as I still live with my (beloved) mom I can't because she is allergic. I'll put it on my list of things to do before to die.

why I think Britain is unique and really cool, as cool as Willow Smith AKA the coolest girl ever

As a French, my culture is still pretty similar to the English one. I mean, we're occidentals European, there is a common basis. I've always been told to say please and thank you, to wait in queues. But I am also Polish and it gives me another reference. In Poland, you don't say hello or thank you at cashiers most of the time, for exemple. Poland also has never ever been a place of immigration. There is almost no diversity, just tall, blonde-haired, with blue eyes people everywhere. No Chinese, no African, no Latinos... kinda sad, right?
But the thing I've had never saw (maybe because I won't step in America as long as this country is so crazy) is how British people, especially in London, just seem to wake up and put on WHATEVER comes into their minds, and still find a way to make it look awesome. Maybe it's in the DNA? Maybe just something in the air, that slowly transform you, with the years? Maybe in the rain? Let me know where I can steal it please.
last thing, I love the white cliffs. I think I saw the British white cliffs in a M.Poirot when I was younger, and we all know Agatha Christie's stories always have a something mystic. considering my unconditional love for water (excepted rain), the respect I have for nature, and you can understand it always gave me the idea of a space made of unwavering peace, freedom and purity.
