This is a picture of a restroom. It seems dirty to a lot of people. The white tiles may look clean but there's a lot of invisible dirt in the gaps. The air is filled with the dizzying scent of detergent.Sometimes bugs appear in the drain. When you sit on the toilet, you only feel the cold spreading from your spine to the top of your head. Restrooms only make people think of filth and disgust.

This toilet is located in my home.

Have you ever seen the restroom at 5 am? When I'm nervous, I get diarrhea. Therefore, I always go to the restroom for important exams, reports, or interviews. I'll sit on the toilet and keep motivating myself to calm down. This scene might seem quite amusing to others. But this behavior holds significant meaning for me. It helps me to find peace in the chaos.

This corner has been with me through many difficult times. It made me who I am today.

This photograph captures a lavatory, perceived by many as unclean. Despite the seemingly pristine white tiles, imperceptible grime lurks in the crevices. The air is saturated with the overpowering fragrance of detergent, and sitting on the toilet induces a pervasive chill from the spine to the crown of the head. Restrooms evoke thoughts of contamination and repulsion.

Remarkably, this toilet is situated in my residence.

Have you ever observed the restroom at 5 am? In moments of anxiety, I contend with diarrhea. Consequently, I frequent the restroom before pivotal exams, presentations, or interviews. While seated, I engage in self-encouragement to regain composure. Though potentially amusing to onlookers, this ritual holds profound significance for me, serving as a sanctuary amid chaos.

This corner has been a steadfast companion through myriad challenges, shaping the person I am today.

Sustainable Tourism refers to sustainable practices in and by the tourism industry. It is an aspiration to acknowledge all impacts of tourism, both positive and negative. It aims to minimize the negative impacts and maximize the positive ones.

Negative impacts to a destination include economic leakage, damage to the natural environment and overcrowding to name a few.

Positive impacts to a destination include job creation, cultural heritage preservation and interpretation, wildlife preservation landscape restoration, and more.

Sustainable tourism is defined by the UN Environment Program and UN World Tourism Organization as “tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities.”

Additionally, they say that sustainable tourism “refers to the environmental, economic, and socio-cultural aspects of tourism development, and a suitable balance must be established between these three dimensions to guarantee its long-term sustainability”

An analysis of an area’s tourism assets and the constraints on future tourism development.

3. A discussion of how best tourism could be used as a tool for social, economic, ecological and cultural regeneration.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

4. A strong measure of local participation in both the plan-making process and in any ongoing decision-making.

5. A careful consideration of the visitor carrying capacities, and the type and scale of developments suitable for each part of the region. This may include decisions to allocate some areas for intensive use, to make some areas less accessible on conservation grounds and to set overall limits to growth.

The strategy-making process should not be a once-only affair. It has to be an evolving long-term enterprise, able to cope with change, and able to admit to its own mistakes and shortcomings. It is the beginning of a partnership between business, government and cultural and conservation interests. With these key issues included, sustainable tourism strategies would produce rewarding results and sustain tourism benefiting all.

This happened when I was in junior high school. It was a rainy afternoon. And the rainwater on the ground was ankle-deep despite the heavy rain on the basketball court. We still wanted to play basketball. So, my 2 classmates and I took off our uniform tops and leather shoes. And we dashed from the classroom to court.

The sky above the court was extremely dark. The lights next to the court became the only source of our light. And the rain kept pouring. Because we weren't wearing shoes, we could feel the rainwater flowing over our feet.

Due to the water on the ground, we couldn't dribble. So we could only take shots. We helped each other retrieve the ball and passed it to each other. We imitated NBA players' moves and called out their names loudly while playing.

We thought the court was only ours, but we noticed other figures at the opposite end of the court. He was a classmate from the next classroom. We looked at each other and laughed. And then we played together.

Due to the rain, we were all wet and sticky. We also got scolded by the teacher. But we were still very happy.
