He currently leads Elite Group Services, a home care agency in Raeford, North Carolina. Previously, Harry Southerland served as executive director of Triangle Medical Services, Inc. His role at the mental health agency entailed managing the operations of four locations and supervising more than 200 employees. In addition to employee recruitment and management, he successfully generated over $7 million in gross sales during his second year at the agency. After earning his bachelor’s degree in business management and economics, he joined North Carolina Central University where he earned a law degree. Further, Mr. Southerland is an active member in his community. In 2021, he received an award of appreciation from the county’s sheriff's department. Mr. Southerland served on the Hoke County Board of Education for three years, and is now the county’s commissioner.
