During this time, American wealth and European imperialism & economic domination (globalization) were formed"

Topic: The units we studied about Living are about discovering more about the world and navigating to new locations. Living in The Age of Exploration and the Age of Colonization some groups of people had the option to experience human rights while not giving them to others. Age of Exploration C.1.1

Reflection: The artifact is about how The Age of Colonization started the globalized world that we know today. During the Age of Colonization, people took great risks in order to obtain more wealth. My excerpt from Mr. Millhoffs notes highlights several important aspects of how all people wanted was wealth. I looked at Transatlantic Slave Trade Journey from Africa to America picture slides, and conducted research to learn about peoples experiences during this time period. I am proud of the work I did for this assignment because i learned a lot about slavery. Looking back at my work at the end of the year, I think I should have done the amount of work i did differently because in the beginning of the year i did not put enough effort in to school. Now I know

Connection: Human Right #4

No Slavery. Nobody has any right to make us a slave. We cannot make anyone our slave.

Slaves were used to reduce the amount of work people do and to increase money flow. They had some human rights like "freedom to move" but were unable to move out of where they worked. Slaves had no "freedom of speech" , "right to family" , "right to life". They were controlled by other people like they were animals.

Application to present day: Most slavery is gone today and these rights are granted to the majority of the world. However, some places still allow slavery and support slavery.

The period of European Enlightenment that we just studied influenced the American Revolution. The American Revolution influenced revolutions in France, Haiti, and Latin America with a goal of liberty"

Topic: The units we studied about Inventing are about Creating new machines and other items, also to innovate previous ideas in order to improve life.

Gilded Age and World War I

Excerpt from Mr. Millhoffs notes
"how steam powered mechanical manufacturing changed the world. In 1750, Asia’s manufacturing production of cotton and silk textiles were 70 percent. Europe’s was 23.2 percent. Once Britain pioneered machine based manufacturing the industrial revolution began. It greatly changed manufacturing production and wealth distribution around the world."

Topic: The units we studied about Formulating are about how the world became more industrial, and more people working to produce. In The Gilded Age life was hard for poor people because they were forced to work for little pay and in bad working conditions. WWI 7 .H 2.1

Reflection: The artifact is about how The Gilded Age led to the industrialized world we have today. During the Gilded Age, people treated others based on what their job was. My excerpt from Mr. Millhoffs notes highlights several important aspects of how new inventions lead to big factories and more goods. I completed the worksheet "Child Labor Notes Graphic Organizer", and conducted research to learn about how children were forced to work for little pay and terrible working conditions. I am proud of the work I did for this assignment because it changed my perspective on Child Labor. Looking back at my work at the end of the year, I think I did a really good job on this assignment.

Connection: Human Right 23. Many people were killed in this time period. WWII, Cold War

Reflection: The artifact is about how World War II, New Nations, and the Cold War led to the balanced economy we have today.
