         <description><![CDATA[<div>Inditex is a Spanish multinational clothing company founded by Amancio Ortega and his wife, Rosalia Mera. The company’s headquarters is in Arteijo, La Coruña, Galicia.&nbsp; The company was founded in June 12<sup>th</sup>, 1985. In 1975 (before the foundation of the brand Inditex), the couple opened their first shop, Zara, which produced popular fashion at low prices.<br><br></div><div>Inditex is the biggest fashion group in the world. It operates over 7,000 stores in 93 markets worldwide and, in 2016, Inditex had 192.450 employees. The company’s main shop is Zara, but it also owns the chains Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Oysho, Pull and Bear, Stradivarius, Lefties and Uterqüe.<br><br></div><div>It reported a net profit of €3.63 billion in 2019. Nowadays, Amancio Ortega is one of the richest men in the world. According to Forbes, the famous American business magazine, Amancio Ortega is the sixth richest man in the world and the first Spanish.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Despite such fortune, Inditex advertising methods are curious because the company avoids magazine advertising, with print campaigns only occurring on billboards in certain regions like U.S. and in-store. Endorsements for celebrities to wear its labels are budgeted instead.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>El Corte Inglés is a worldwide distribution group based in Spain made up of companies of different formats, the main one being department stores, followed by that of internet sales.<strong><br></strong><br></div><div>It was founded on June 28, 1940, El Corte Inglés takes its name from a small tailor shop founded in 1890 and located between Calle Preciados, Carmen and Rompelanzas, Madrid. In 1935, Ramón Areces Rodríguez, backed by his uncle César Rodríguez, bought the tailor shop, thus beginning his business adventure.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>The headquarters is located in Madrid, but it has 92 shopping centers around Spain with 90,004 employees and had 258 million euros of benefit<br><br></div><div>It is the competition between El Corte Inglés and Galerías Preciados, from the fifties and sixties, that will produce a revolution in the Spanish distribution market, introducing sales, advertising campaigns, air conditioning in the store, use massive advertising and shopping cards.</div>]]></description>
