         <description><![CDATA[<p>Cats are great examples of evolution because their characteristics, behaviors, and even their relationship with people show how species change over time. Cats developed natural useful traits that helped them adapt to their environment and survive. For example, they have sharp claws, night vision, and whiskers that detect their surroundings. Unlike other animals, cats slowly grew closer to humans over time because wildcats that were less afraid of people stayed near places such as farms to access more food. Eventually, cats developed traits that made them even better suited to live with humans as pets. </p>]]></description>
