But then when the visitors left, the staff members start to torture then and force them  to do what they want for them.  Animals often are bored when we visit them but sometimes it doesn't look like they are really sad but in the inside they are looking sad and lonely.

They feel alone and bored. For example when you visit the San Antonio Zoo the animals there look lonely. For example in the San Antonio Zoo, the elephants there sway their trunks. This behavior only happens when they are lonely.  If you see animals behaving like this it means that zoos aren't paying much attention to the animals.

They should be banned because zoos torture animals when all the people leave or just before the zoo opens.  For example they force animals to do a bullhook especially on elephants, a bullhook is a long pole that has a sharp hook attached at the end. These hooks dig into the elephant’s sensitive flesh (usually used right behind the ears or ankles) causing extreme pain for the animal.People who use bullhooks often claim that these instruments are only a “guide”. In the wild dominance between elephants is based on age-dependent body size thus older, larger animals rank above smaller younger animals. The only way a human being (approx. 1/60 the weight of an elephant) can rank above an adult elephant is either through fear, learned helplessness, or in rare cases through respect based on companionship and trust.
