One goal is being able to count to 100 on their own. I explain to them that when they are able to count to 100 on their own, they can write their name on the 100 Club poster. Doing it in this manner allows the children to take ownership of the goal.

I think that this experiment is a good example of constructive learning. It allows the children to articulate and reflect on a new concept. Every year that I have done this, most of the children have never seen a brown egg before. I begin by asking the children what is different and the same about the outside of the egg, then I ask if they think the inside of each egg will be different or the same. Usually without hesitation the children The look on their faces when I crack open the egg and they see that it is the same, is priceless! It is a great way for us to discuss respect for each other and that inside we are all the same.
