By Terry Deary
This book is a graphic comic about Rome. The book has stories about Pompeii to Romulus and Remus all in a graphic comical form. The comics each end with a conclusion of each hilarious remake.
I enjoyed this book as it was like little bites of the story, not as a whole book for just one story about Rome. It was humorous and story filled. I would rate this book a 8 because it is really humorous but it is a little too short for me as I like to read long novels.

By E.D Baker
Once upon a curse is the third book in the series of The frog princess. The book is about a princess called Emeralda or Emma who is turning sixteen which is dreaded in her family because her ancestor Princess Hazel was cursed by a witch years ago. The curse is when any female descendants turn sixteen they cannot touch a flower as their youth, beauty and kindness will be erased. Emma is turning sixteen soon and she is not willing to risk her role as the green witch protector Greater Greensward and the nicest and most powerful witch. Emma determines she can break the curse if she goes back in time to see who and what curse was used against her ancestor. When she gets a way to go back in time she disguises as one of her ancestor's cousins and tries and find the witch that cursed princess Hazel. Legend says princess Hazel was the kindness and most beautiful but her heart was filled with meanness and cruelty. Emma brings Eadric her boyfriend and her bat Li'l. Soon Li'l falls in love and doesn't want to leave and princess Hazel takes interest in Eadric. At the night of the curse princess Hazel treated a fairy rudely which started an argument and ended with a curse which will make her ugly and mean if she touches her flower and the curse would only break if a man loves the cursed person even though of their ugliness and stone heart. Princess Emma Li'l and Eadric soon leave and now that they know what started the curse, they can end the curse. They find the fairy that cursed princess Hazel in present time and plead her to break the curse, but the fairy still didn't approve. Emma now has to break the cruse another way. Her aunt Grassina and her grandma soon had a fight together on Emma's tournament to celebrate her sixteen birthday. She turns herself into a dragon and proves that a witch is able to turn into a dragon. Her grandma and aunt were scared and soon decided to talk about it. In the end her ghost grandfather kisses her cursed grandmother and the cruse is broken for her aunt and grandmother.
I enjoyed this book as it is a great story and the way the author tells the story in first person is my favourite.
I will rate this story with a 10 because it is adventurous, magical, romantic and interesting.

There are different war settings in it: the Revolutionary War, The Texas war of independence, The Civil War, WW1, WW2 and the Korean war. The ten children in these stories are normally rebels.
