5M have sketched and shaded in a flower, which shows the different parts of the flower's reproductive system. This linked with our science topic, Living Things and their Habitats.

As part of our Anglo Saxon art topic, we have been practicing creating tone and texture by shading using techniques such as hatching, cross-hatching and stippling.

We learnt that when hatching or cross hatching, the closer together your lines are, the darker the tone.

After we had moulded and sculpted our Anglo Saxon jewellery, we used metallic paints to make them look more realistic.

We have been sketching a mountain and river scene, practising our abilities to shade and create tone. We tried using different types of pencil to get the best outcomes.

As part of the 'Growing Farnworth's Future' art project, we each created a leaf, that would become part of the collaborative artwork.

We thought about how we could grow (our dreams for our futures) and how we could help Farnworth to grow and be a better place for all.
