When the ACTH comes from the pituitary gland it is called <strong>Cushing's disease</strong>.</div>]]></description>

A common cause of dwarfism is a genetic mutation that affects bone growth.</div><div>Dwarfism is generally defined as an adult height of four feet 10 inches or less. The average adult height in dwarfism is four feet. Common complications include bowing of the legs, hunching of the back, and crowded teeth.</div><div>Treatments are aimed at reducing complications. Surgery may help stabilize and correct the shape of the spine. Hormone therapy may increase final height in some cases.</div>]]></description>

Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes.<br><br>If you have type 2 diabetes your body does not use insulin properly. This is called insulin resistance. At first, your pancreas makes extra insulin to make up for it. But, over time it isn't able to keep up and can't make enough insulin to keep your blood glucose at normal levels.</div>]]></description>
