I would take out the arctic char out of the freezer and i would ask the children to sit ion a circle and i can pu the fish in the centre of the children and i can ask them where does it live in water or land and would ask them about all body parts, and i can let them know it is safe to eat it frozen, dried, boiled ,baked or fried. I’d an show the children on how to cut it and show them the inside and let them know some parts are great to eat and can show them on how to make dry meat and let them know the head is really good to eat. We can use the skin to make a lot of things like bags or crafts, and let the children that the fins are not safe to eat because they have a lot of bones.

I could get a bin of snow and use the toy trucks, people, houses, animals put them in the snow and let them play with it, for a game i can get the kids to sit on a chair and say were gonna pretend were going on a field trip, ask the children where they love to go and what were gonna do,

Craft i can print out pictures of transportation and get the children to colour or paint the picture, song i can make up one,

Fall Themed Early Science: Nature Walk Bracelets

First we can plan on where to take the children and basically look for a route that may have a bunch of arctic cotton or any flowers or small leaves or any kind of plants then get a bag to put the masking tape and scissors prepared once we have that done we can tell the kids we will be going on an adventure get them ready with outdoor clothing before heading out the door put the tape around their wrist but keep the sticky part out and I’ll wear one too just to show them and guide them on what to do like if we see plants, flowers or small leaves I’ll stick it to my wrist and to just encourage them to pick up things from nature and let them have fun with it.

An activity that compliments the activity that I plan on doing is maybe I can read a book about nature or something similar just to get the children comfortable with picking up the flowers, small plants or leaves just teach them about nature just so that the nature walk is a fun experience.

I’d prepare ziplock bags for each child, have them get dressed for the walk. During our walk, we’d stop and I’d have them pick 2 different flowers, leaves, a rock they like and arctic cotton. During the walk, I’ll ask the children what else they can see/hear. If they find something they like during the walk they can put in their ziplock bag. At the end of the day, children can take their bag home to show their parents/siblings what they learned during their walk.

I would get construction paper on the floor and get the students to look for objects and put in the the objects as the same colour paper. This Oswald get the students to know their colours and to know what objects have in colours ..

for outdoor play i would get the students to paint the snow and find toys that are same colour as the coloured snow ..
