My books talks about how no life is less valuable than another. This school year I can be more opened minded to showing compassion towards all my classmates. In my book, Father Gregory Boyle inspires me to do Mary's work.

An example of compassion from my book is when a man forgives two men who killed a twelve year old kid. Boyle is a priest who lives in gang territory in California. He becomes friends with a twelve year old kid. One day, the kid is playing outside when suddenly gang members open fire at a rival group. He is struck by a bullet and dies in the hospital. Boyle finds it hard not to hate the two men who killed the innocent child. He forgives the two men because having compassion for everyone, including sinners, is an important part of being Christian.
