Ferdinand was born into a wealthy family and served in the royal court.  Although  he was from Portugal,  the King did not want to sponsor his trip to the America to find spices and stuff to make the country rich so he had to go to the king of Spain.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>He set sail in September 1519 in an attempt to find another route to Eastern Asia. There were 270 men and 5 ships under his control. As he   went south, it got colder and they were losing food and some of the sailors decided to mutiny and take three ships, but they ended up not getting away and the leaders were executed. Finally he found the passage that he was looking for and came out on the other side and found a new ocean.</div>]]></description>
