Coffee isn't sustainable to society because many coffee suppliers and growers do not get a lot of profit due to "direct trade" and the way they sell beans. Therefore, coffee suppliers and growers are poor due to their working lifestyle. Also their kids have to drop out of school to help.

By: Dnessa Klockziem

According to the way coffee needs to be grown to satisfy society, the economy, and the environment, coffee growing is not sustainable. Large businesses want coffee to be grown completely in sunlight which causes damage to the environment when forests have to be clear cut. Coffee also has a negative impact on both society and economy because families aren't making a large enough profit to support their families, and only large business owners are able to make a profit. In conclusion, we have decided that the sustainability level is a 2.

By: Mackenzie Longdo
