Sometime during the COVID year of 2020, us in the HCWH SEA secretariat and some doctors champion in sustainability began developing the concept note, the plan, the logo and the distinct features of healthcare professional network in Asia. When launched in November that year, we felt it was a dream that came true after quite a while but a dream that would still need a lot of nurturing.


4 years since then, the movement has grown to KEBUMI in Indonesia, HACCAP in the Philippines. Other countries such as Malaysia are also pursuing the RISE network in their respective setting. Thank you for all your hard work to address the health impact of climate, build resilience and be the voice that represents all these issues. Cheers.

Joining the organization and, not long after, launching KEBUMI and HACCAP—our leading RISE projects in Indonesia and the Philippines—felt like stepping into a community I had long been seeking as a young advocate for health and climate.


Learning from the dedicated health professionals driving these projects and engaging with the broader RISE Alliance over the past year has been deeply rewarding. It is fulfilling to contribute to nurturing this regional network and witnessing its incredible potential for transformative change.


Looking ahead, I hope to see RISE continue to grow, expanding its country chapters and deepening its ongoing work across the region. My hope is for this alliance to remain a strong, collaborative space for health and climate advocates to come together, amplify their voices, and drive impactful solutions for a healthier, more sustainable future!
