Intervention can be a set of actions of a meeting to ensure the child is successful. There are different types of interventions: Academic (helping if they are struggling in school), Behavioral (addressing the students' behavior in and out of the classroom,) and Social Emotional (helping with the student's overall well-being )

Modifications are very similar to accommodations however this means changing the material itself not the way it is being taught

Some examples of this are if a student is struggling in math making the worksheets more beginner

Having a student with dyslexia read a different easier book for them to understand

Working on a subject that the student is a stuck on while the others move on

Adaptations

Adaptations again are very similar to accommodations and modifications but this is changing the learning environment itself.

Some examples of this are if a student has autism and is overstimulated by noise closing the classroom door and windows

Having easier distracted students sit closer to the teacher away from the window or door

Having a child in a wheelchairs desk raised so that they can fit in the desk

Special Designed Instruction

SDI is a type of instruction specifically planned out and created for students with disabilities and is adapted specifically for their disability

If a student is blind having all literary work or any work through an auditory form

Having an interpreter in the classroom for a student with hearing or speech disabilities
