Hello.
This is Praveen. I am Raechel's Dad. Born, brought up, educated and worked as an Educator in Cochin, Kerala. My first international teaching experience was in Ooty- The Good shepherd International School, and it was my first migration from homeland. It wasnt easy, as i was more attached to weather conditions, food style and festivities of Cochin. Ooty was beautiful, but the untimely rains and chilled weather ( althrough an year) was difficult. After 5 years, i shifted to Gurgaon, for my tenure in PWS. It was a major movement, because my whole perception about North India got changed- I could study & understand more about the diversity, culture, events and people more than i read from books or movies. It was enriching. The real feel & zest towards this profession was also brought to me, through PWS. Both the migrations happened at different ages & under different circumstances, which made me realize the uncertainties of life, but it made me more mature.
Thanks.

I was born in Shillong and after my middle school I had to migrate to Delhi because my father started working there. Then I also had to move to US for my post graduation and spent few years there. It was a great learning experience both professionally and personally as I got to interact with people of different cultures and mind sets. During my stay in US, I also travelled different locations and was an exciting experience overall. I came back to India in 2008 when I got married and started living in NCR.

Thanks

Hi
I am Swati- Sanvi's mother. Born and brought up in Delhi in joint family. For my work when I had to migrate to Gurgaon, all by myself, I was quite nervous. From the comfort of my home to a new place where I was surrounded with new people, the journey was full of varied experiences. Interacting with new people was fun and very enriching and made the experience truly worthwhile.
Most interesting was to learn how to cook quick snacks for one person. Small things like looking after laundry, handling maids etc. was all included in settling down phase.

From a nervous girl to Happily migrated woman, journey has been fulfilling.
