I learned more about the daycare regulations, about the Director.

I also learned more about the immunizations.

I learned more about sanitary standards.

And I am grateful to be learning about these regulations

I am grateful to have learned about Immunization, Illness, and communicable disease in childcare facilities.

Immunization records should be updated every year for both staff and children
All staff must have a note that they are healthy to work (a note from health professional) and doctors note is needed before going back to work after being sick
TB screening is needed before starting work at childcare facilities
Communicable diseases must be reported to Health Centre and childcare facility director

I am grateful to learn about health and safety regulations, i have learnt a lot about what I didn’t know about safety and health, it is important for me to learn as i want to work at the daycare and i know more about health and wellness.

My biggest learning with these regulations are that there are many different ones and each stands out to a different regulation. There is a lot of these written things on the binder we have to follow in a daycare facility, but we know we cant always remember them all but the ones we have to use daily at a daycare we follow. Each daycare has different policies but there has to be a green binder in each one that we have to follow, if a staff doesn’t know about it, we can show them where it is located and have them to read it.

I am grateful to learn that there are rules in a daycare to follow for the safety of the children and staff inside the facility.

When a child is sick the staff should be aware and familiar to know how to deal with.

They have schedule list to do activity for toddlers and infants.
