Staff members are trained in delivering this approach with the children. If staff have concerns about your child's speech and language development, then your child's key person will have an initial conversation with you about these concerns. A plan can then be put in place with targets specifically tailored to your child and their needs. This will be reviewed after 6 weeks and parents will then be invited back to discuss the outcome and next steps.

  The groups are designed to enhance children's confidence in speaking and to help them build vocabulary and language skills effectively.

• Well-being refers to the extent to which children feel at ease, act spontaneously, show vitality, and display self-confidence. It is crucial for good mental health and impacts on curiosity, creative development and the ability to make meaning and new understandings.

• Involvement refers to the extent to which children are operating to their full capabilities, looking closely on their focus, engagement, and interest in various activities. It is considered a necessary condition for deep level learning and development.
  If staff identify that your child is showing signs of low wellbeing/involvement they will discuss with you what additional support we can provide here in the nursery and what you can do to support at home. If you have any concerns about your child, please always seek advise from the class teacher or your child's key person.
