Bermuda triangle: A mystery that challenges human understanding on natural bodies

This photograph goes beyond the limits of what human beings can consider to be normal, due to the fact that this portrays the unbelievable mysteries that an area between Miami, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico can embrace. The Bermuda triangle constitutes an ongoing dilemma for humankind and for many scientists that have invested their time studying the anomalies that have been taking place in this region over the years. What caughts my attention the most in this photo, is that it is able to represent all the accidents that were caused in this zone; without even having a concrete explanation to these peculiar facts. The colors in this image can seem striking at a first glance, but the meaning behind this illustration holds a heavier weight when reflecting on the reason why this territory possesses such a problematic environment.

This photograph is very personal. For me, the moon is a symbol representing our dreams, how far we are from reaching them but never giving up. It also represents the unison of the family, in this case my boy brothers and my coursin from La Paz. It represents unity within the family, all of them looking at their dreams and goals. Finally it has also a natural meaning, showing the beatiful moon between the clouds and some teens just looking at it.

This photograph was taken during the blood moon eclipse that took place yesterday. I believe that capturing the essence of this crucial moment was important because it shows a different perspective of the moon. This is a phenomena, we don't often get to capture such moments. I like this image in particular because it shows the moon as having a different personality. From being this bright celestial body in space that glistens below us, to covering the night with a moon "filled with blood" per se. Hence, the name blood moon. Although this is all due to natural phenomenon, getting to see this once in a lifetime is a must, in order to show the true beauty of nature and the way it behaves itself during cycles.

This photo was actually taken by me and it’s very personal. I feel it captures the beauty of a simple moment in a very unique way, how happiness can be seen in the small details or moments in life. This is my little brother laughing out loud at my grandpa on his birthday. An instant where the a very serious man like my grandfather couldn’t help from just laughing and smiling, enjoying the small moments you share with people and the things that make you happy but could also go away in a fraction of minutes. The image also carries a feeling of filial love that sometimes isn’t really expressed openly in words.

The image capures the exact moment when the sun is setting and the beautiful and various colors this creates. It is amazing seeing how nature can look like a painting, with all those pastel colors painting the sky and vaguely reflecting on the sand. This image represents all those good summer memories we all once had, with the tan-lines and the walks on the beach while eating an ice cream. All I can think of while seeing it is how much I´d like to be on a place like that right now.

This photo is shows both Lago Titikaka and a small island found near Copacabana (there are many of these small island i don’t quite remember it’s name).
Personally, i really liked how the photo turned out because it shows the lake and parts of the small town built on it. My sister and i had climbed to the top of this rock tower, where i was able to take the best shot of this small island. I think this photo is just one of many examples that portray the best parts of Bolivia, which people may have not yet seen before (just like me). I’d definitely encourage people who haven’t visited Copacabana to do so :)

It is an attempt to document humanity's true colors, rather than the untrue labels “white,” “red,” “black,” and “yellow” that are historically associated with race. This collection of photographs impacted me greatly because I could really see how beautiful each one of them was, and how the author managed to communicate a message related to racism and discrimination in such a creative , touching and, at the same time, simple way.

The picture amazed me because you can see he is worried, almost like he doesn’t want to race.Since it is a close up picture, there is an emphasize on his eyes which transmits the feeling that something is wrong. It being in black and white gives the idea that this is an old picture and it goes hand in hand with his story and the improvements they’ve (FIA) done with the safety of the sport. I chose this picture because there aren’t many pictures of F1 drivers in the late 80s especially ones where we can see their faces. It also makes people realize all the beauty and biodiversity that Bolivia holds. The eyes of the monkey portray a strong, perhaps thoughtful emotion, which reminds humans that we have to forget about the common anthropocentric view of the world, since animals can feel, think and communicate through different manners. The green background, which indicates the presence of human beings also bothers me, places like this should not exist becasue people are destroying the environment and all the living organisms within it. On the other hand, I like the calmness of the monkey, as he knows he is in a safe place where he will not be attacked nor hunted

It also depicts a sad place with no flora, another privilege we might’ve not appreciated before. When things hit the fan, people like to rethink life, let’s break the habit by appreciating it before the consequences of our ungratefulness make us drop to our knees and beg for mercy.

I chose this picture even though I could not find the artist who made it. This image represents Dissociative identity disorder. We can see a woman, and multiple faces representing different emotions and personalities. In my opinion, we can understand a little better how much they suffer by looking a this picture. Seeing this makes me realize how hard it is for people to deal with DID. I've been looking for videos regarding DID, and it impresses me every day more when looking at how hard their lives are, and how they live their day to day life. I believe this image is a great way to symbolize DID, since they have no control regarding what they do when another alter replaces the host.

In this picture I was taking a ride to a small town near Cochabamba. As the timing came right, I shot this picture to symbolise small things that behind the camera, are memories that are kept in our memories. In our life we have had the most amazing experiences, from travelling somewhere to a small monopoly game that left the whole family laughing until their last breaths. Memories keep us happy, it makes us grow as individuals but also as a population. Things like riding a motorcycle with my dad one day will live with me even until he dies. So this, it represents a good memories that will live in our minds, forever and ever, for all eternity.

This image communicates so much while still keeping itself still. It tries to show how a close-up of hands be enticing when displayed in color, but in black and white, the image paints the story that all humankind is united. Meaning, humans are all the same if we just see them in the same way. The color of our skin gives so many stereotypes and prejudgements to people that most interactions are based on them but, if we show the colors of humans in black and white, we see the beauty and detail of one species and not the difference between them. This image truly shows the meaning of how prejudice becomes a burden that bewilders the past, threatens the human kind future, and renders the present to become a false reality of our own.

The skies are surprising since one day you can take a photo of a pink sky and the other of a totally gray one. So, when I took the 2nd picture I was amazed by the harmony between the colors of the sky and land. Also, this photo is one of my favorites because the photograph looks like a painting of a fairy land, an enchanted place, when in reality it was actually taken in a town in Oruro. Happiness stereotypically is the color yellow while sadness is blue. In this case the font helps reflect a happy situation and in this case "feelings of love". There are two people in the picture in which both they are smiling and looking like they are having a good time. This can give good evidence that the picture is a great evidence to the title and the explanation.

This picture portrays the mysteries of the asymmetrical as well as the natural surfaces that set part of something unexplainable, the Earth. At a first glance, this photo seems to be taken from a painting, due to the fact that the use of a variety of monochromatic colors such as green and brown convey an Earth-friendly message, a sign to realize that it is our task, as humans, to take care of this complex planet. The cracks possess a peculiar texture and depth that can be easily perceived by the viewer, and which express an overwhelming mood while thinking of the possibility to fall inside among them. The photo is structured based on a vanishing point, illustrating a perspective and a path that apparently have no end. Photography has an essential purpose on life, to capture a special moment or place; therefore, this photo is able to show what sometimes humanity take for granted from this wild world.

The negative background contours the circular figure of the moon, which is being symmetrically placed in the center. This monochromatic space surrounding the principal subject activates the imagination of the viewers, leading to philosophical thoughts that could include the possibility of life in different planets or galaxies. The close approach of the moon permits the identification of the lunar craters, elements that give texture to the caliginous atmosphere of the night. The exact moment when this picture was taken, shows how the sun brings brightness and light to the scenery. Theoretically, sun and light are normally synonyms or representations of happiness and joy. This picture is not an exception because all of the setting that is applied on it portrays contempt because of the colors, moments, face expressions, etc. Not only does the image portray happiness but also it tries to connect with the reader in a more personal and sentimental manner.

The photograph is called "Salina Salar de Uyuni en Bolivia en sunrise" and was taken by Sara Winter. This photograph is breath taking, I chose this picture to show the beautiful places Bolivia has. The colors, view, sunrise and landscapes are like a dream, there's no other place as Salar de Uyuni. This image brings piece and happiness to the audience due to its relaxing palette and emotion of just picturing yourself in such paradise. Bolivia is filled with beauty but this being the largest salt flat in the world distinguishes Bolivia among other countries. Personally I haven't gone to Salar de Uyuni yet but its on my wish list, this photograph takes me back to falling asleep in gardens and landscapes and waking up when I feel the sun rays in my face, its that time when you open your eyes and realize you're surrounded by nature, just thinking about all the different colors, smells, and textures we can feel. Its those feelings and memories that takes us away from technology and brings us back to appreciate the wonders this world has to offer. When I see this picture I wanna grab the clouds and walk over salt Id even like to taste it. I think this photograph is a great example to see from someone else's eyes, here we can see what a foreign person to the country found and described as beauty, and a native proud Bolivian describing her perspective and emotion of the photograph.
