How can poetry be used as a tool (way) to express one’s emotions/feelings/ideas?

I use the tool to show different ways to express myself and not always use the same thing. “The yellow horse is bright color, its so bright like the sun. ” In this poem I compared the yellow horse to the bright yellow sun. The yellow horse was as bright as the sun.

I think poetry can help me understand is that, I use see how someone express themselves and you can just really feel what the person is talking about. Sometimes you might feel what the poet is talking about. "Shit

To

Remember

Ever

Single

Second".
In this poem I feel like when your when have so much stuff to do it and it might so much that you make forget, so I just get stress out.
