With the task line spacing, as specified in the task sheet, and in text referencing I am exceeding the 40 page limit for the portfolio, but my word limit isn't particularly high.

  • Should each task be set out in essay form?
  • The portfolio states the counselling session task "will be marked as a major component of the portfolio" so what is the weighting of marks of that section and should that section be the longest?

If you go over this that's fine but please ensure your work is succinct and has good supporting evidence. Ideally each response should be in essay form however does not require an introduction and conclusion. There is no discreet mark for the counselling session however non- completion may see a poor/ fail grade. It does not imply this will be the longest section I am looking for quality not quantity,
Roxanne ]]> 2020-09-11 03:27:09 UTC https://padlet.com/elearningnursing/xvfi5zuoqbxp/wish/737671565 Regarding the Community Portfolio and the section pertaining to the comprehensive family assessment and health history: The first part ( Completion of a comprehensive family assessment) refers to a portion of the Family Health Assessment completed for each family and might encompass the genogram, social situations, ATODS, history of DV etc.This section requires you to complete the family information section and submit as an appendix. The empty boxes require your reflection on completing the assessment and the inherent challenges in completing it. The third box regarding the framework and how it is similar or different to other frameworks , requires some comment on other frameworks that might be available in other clinical areas ( not everyone uses the same Family Health assessment that is used in CYCHS). The overall task really relates to your experience and knowledge in completing the tool and how it can be challenging to complete ( asking the difficult questions) as well as your knowledge regarding other similar tools that might be used in the clinical space.The next section ( Completion of a comprehensive health history) relates to the health history taking component of a family health assessment and similarly requires completion and attachment as an appendix. It requires you to consider the framework used in taking the history ( eg. medical, social and psychological health issues for the family - including the baby.) Sometimes these can be difficult conversations also - as you will know. Again this is more of a reflection on the challenges. Regarding the PEDS/ ASQ.: Your answers for each may be similar however the ages and developmental stages would be different for each. For eg. the first task 'nursing assessment' - am I required to include all off the assessment tools I used (6) and if so, does the data need to be included or is it meant to be left blank? For developmental assessment do we include PEDS, peds scoring sheets, ASQ questionairres etc?
