Papiamento is an Afro-Portuguese Creole that is the mother tongue and primary language of most Arubans, while Dutch is the official language due to Aruba's status as a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In addition, most people in Aruba are multilingual, also speaking English and Spanish.

What stayed with me is how Panama feels like a bridge—not just between oceans, but between cultures, histories, and ways of living.
