Thinking of the grade band that was given to you (PreK/Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, or 3rd grade), create a document detailing how you would suggest modifying these lessons to better fit the grade band.

In a virtual environment, it is at times difficult to establish a relationship with a student's family because you don’t have as much time to explore who each of you are.  We are challenging you to create a short video (1-3 minutes), or blog (no more than 1 page) that introduces you to your students' family.  As with any elevator introduction (can be done between 1st and 2nd floor in an elevator), try to convey who you are and why you feel that being a teacher/educator in an after school environment is so important to you.  

Some questions to guide your thinking:  
  • What are the characteristics of your favorite teacher growing up?  
  • Who will be the audience of your introduction and how will you meet their needs?  
  • How does empathy with the families sending their student play a role in your description?  
  • Why is spending time in our Ready Ranger Explorers' Club important to you?
