Today we were given the task and put into groups. We then had to brainstorm some ideas for the students. We had to decide where our game was going to be and what time. When organising the activities we had to take into special considerations this could include children that may not be as physical as others so therefor we had to make sure the games were not as pshscial, we also thought of ways to include the children when scoring of the game and helping out delivering the rules. As the children are low level students I have had to simplify my game so therefor it is easier to understand.

My team has three people including me, holly and Chloe. We have a objective to create an activity to create an activity for a target audience of 14-17 year olds. We wanted to organise a game were they can have fun but also challenge themselves. The date we will run this activity will be on the 7th of November. The 14-17 year olds that will be taking part in our activity are level one supported studied group. We will provide a sports hall and equipment also a thirty minute time slow to compete our activity in. Our role will be to plan the activity and then explain it in full detail and demonstrate it so the players understand it fully.

In today's lesson we had to make sure we could get all the resources that we needed for our activity, the first thing we needed to check was that we could have a venue booked for the day which is the sports hall. We then had to check that all the equipment we needed was there and it was in full working condition. We then made a kit list of all the items we needed and done a trial run to make sure our ideas would go to plan and that the activity would run smoothly without any problems so we was ready for the children to participate

The game we have chosen to do is called fetch ball which will take part in a sport hall. The game includes placing four hoops round the room we will then tip a load of balls onto the cones so they will spread evenly around the room. Each hoop will be worth a different amount of points, the furthest hoops away from the middle where all the players will start off will be the highest points. You can only take one ball into at a time into the hoop and of the ball bounces out then it will be worth 0 points. Each team will have three rounds, the first round will be one minute and thirty seconds, the second round will be one minuite and the third round will be thirty seconds. We will have a overall winner of all rounds when the points are added together and then a winner for each round.

When planning our activity we have had to make sure our game was safe and take into consideration health and safety requirements. We did this by filing out a risk assessment to help prevent accidents, we had to make sure that all equipment we will be using is safe for the children so therefor we have a smooth running programme without any incidents being caused . See risk assessment attach for more details.

Before starting the game we have explained the instructions and rules to the learners and then asked if they understand. It is important that the learner know what they were doing at the time as they needed to work in a team to get as many balls one by one in the hoops. The team leaders such as me, Chloe and Holly would take it in turns to let the learners know how they they would have to collect all the balls. We as the team leaders had to make sure that the learners were playing the game correctly and that there was no cheating involved. We had to make sure we gave clear information to the learners and that we worked together in a team as the team leaders. We had to inform the learners to watch where they are running to as we didn't want there to be any accidents to prevent this we made sure that all the balls were clearly put away after each round was completed.

When planning the activity I had to take into consideration the age range of who will be participating and if it suited their ability as I didn't want it to be too difficult but then not too simple. Once I came up with an activity I had to make sure that I could get all equipment that I may need, once that was done I then had to prepare to get my game ready with my team leaders so the children could get ready to start as soon as. Once the game was set up we explained clearly and took it in turns with my team leaders, we each had a different role which meant we had to make sure our timing was right. I thought my tone of voice was clear and appropriate, I made the players feel welcome when they walked into the hall and made sure that every player knew what they was doing as I clearly demonstrated myself how the game worlds and we did give them a trial run before the game started.

When planning our activity we had to make sure that it would be a success therefor making sure that location where our game would take place was near so no one would have to travel very far. Our activity took place inside which meant weather wouldn't be a problem, we made sure that we would prevent any accidents from happening by following the health and safety rules we also decided to make the distance from each hoop a much more bigger space therefor this would cause the players to not bump into each other as much. Once I came up with an activity I had to make sure that I could get all equipment that I may need, once that was done I then had to prepare to get my game ready with my team leaders so the children could get ready to start as soon as. We had to collect roughly around 40 mini balls and 6 hoops which were red and yellow, we then had to get a cone to drop on the balls so they spread evenly. It was important that we followed the health and safety rules to prevent any accidents from happening. We had two groups to play our game and tried to get everyone involved. Overall I think the students had a great time participating in our game as they listened carefully to instructions and had a smile on their face and enjoyed being competitive.
