The narrative for this padlet is "getting back to the roots of the Earth" I chose this because I associate the beach with the roots of the world and as the world is made up of mainly water, it is a vital part of our planet and its root. The feel I am going for with these photos is a peaceful feel, nothing is overly happy because in reality, nothing is. The photos are plain and simple, just like a feeling you get at the beach.

This photo is of my home, I chose this for my story because it is as if the person in the story is walking out of their house and choosing somewhere to go. I chose to make this photo darker because it gives a negative connotation. This photo is of the Tyne Bridge, I put this photo second because it is in Newcastle which is a very big place that lots of people go to every day, there is a lot of hustle and bustle and it isn't very peaceful at all, however, the emptiness of the photo shows the element of peace I want for the photo. The third photo is of a sign and this is directing the person to the roots of the world. I chose to make the sign darker because I didn't want the writing on the sign to be the focus, i wanted the direction of the sign and what the sign is pointing to to be the focus of the image. This photo is of the groyne, the reason I used this photo is because it is accentuating the sky and i have edited it more to make it stand out more, this photo also brings in the element of peace because it shows how big the sea is and how calm it is. This photo fits in with my narrative too because it shows the sea and natural features like the rocks. This photo also shows the beach and natural features which fits in with my narrative. The beach is empty and the colors are quite neutral which brings in peacefulness. The excitement from the first photo starts to die down and the feel of the place becomes calm. This photo finishes off the sequence of photos because it is showing the beauty of the beach, I made the colors quite bland except for the tint of pink in the cloud which carries on the idea of beauty and how it never ends.
