This is a Newberry book. This is a Review.

This book Astrid and her friends finding different interests and going their separate ways. Astrid finds an interest in roller derby while her friends are interested in ballet. it started when Astrid's mom took the to see a roller derby game/race. Astrid became super intersex in it, Nicole not so much. Roller derby is not as easy as she thought. After a while she really comes to love it, and this might actually be her passion. The theme of this book i think is that you never give up on something you love.

It is a rhyming boo that goes through the whole alphabet. They are trying to get to the top of a coconut tree. This is meant to teach students the alphabet while entertaining them. My experience from this book was when I was younger this is the book that my mom would read to help learn my ABC's. It is a catchy song and it could help in my future classroom and with my future children.

They are all living in a tree house that was at his foster home. They go to the school and finally find the girl they have been looking for. They are trying to avoid a monster called Blarg. By the end of the book they finally kill him. This book is from a series of books, and i would personally go and read the others.

This is a Correta Scott-King Award Winner Pura-Belpre Award winner. This is a book review.

Trombone Shorty by Troy Andrews is a book about the life of Trombone Shorty. He was constantly around music as a child. His brother had a band as a child and he would pretend he was in the band with him as well. He grew up in Louisiana where music is everything. He would always listen to the different types of bands and instruments that he would come across. He and his friends first decided to make their own instruments. They would make their own music. One day, he found a broken trombone. He would go and play out in the street with his trombone. His brother actually gave him the nickname Trombone Shorty as it was too big for his body. He constantly practiced, day in and day out. His mom got him tickets to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival. He would play along side and he got to go on stage and play with Bo Diddley. He, his brother, and his friends made a band and played throughout New Orleans. This book really interested me and I enjoyed reading it.

This is a Historical Fiction. This is a Book Recommendation.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain is a book about all of the adventures that Huckleberry Finn encounters throughout the story. Huckleberry Finn is an adventurous, careless young man who seeks a thrill by going on different adventures. One of the adventures Huckleberry Finn encounters is with a man named Jim. Jim is a black slave who escaped and ran into Huckleberry Finn. He decides do not turn him in because he wants to be nice to Jim and give him a break. Many adventures come across both Jim and Huck. However, Jim gets captured. Huckleberry Finn eventually meets Tom Sawyer and they both figure out a plan to set Jim free. It eventually works and the two boys had the wildest adventure they had ever encountered. Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a classic book and is one of the best that I have ever read. I recommend reading this book , even if you don't use it in a classroom. This book is a classic and I recommend reading it.

this is a graphic novel. This is a book recommendation

El Deafo by CeCe Bell is a book about a book about CeCe, a deaf girl who inherits superpowers. CeCe has suffered from meningitis and from this, she becomes deaf. CeCe struggles with different parts of everyday life such as hearing the television, hearing other people, and for a little bit walking. It lists out the struggles she suffered from as a deaf child. She gets a hearing aid to help her with hearing. She starts school and is aware that she is the only person in her classroom and in the entire school that can not hear. CeCe got a device called the phonic ear that would help her be able to understand what was being said. Her teacher had a special device that would always allow CeCe to hear what was being said from her teacher. Because of this, she would laugh and the other kids wanted to know what she was laughing at. It was because of her phonic ear. This got the other kids interested and this is how CeCe got her super powers and hence, El Deaf became her nickname. She made friends despite her situation and she learned to deal with her deafness. It was a setback but did not mean CeCe was any different from anyone else. It is a very good book told from the personal life of CeCe Bell that talked about her life and struggle with hearing as a child.

It is a comical book about a cat named Chester and the author Melanie Watt. Melanie Watt is trying to tell a story to her readers but Chester wants to make the story all about him. Both Chester and the author continue to annoy each other until Melanie Watt makes the story about Chester. When she does tell the story the way Chester wants, she embarrasses him by saying he wears a pink tutu. This is a very comical book and I even laughed a couple of times when reading it. It you like funny children's books, I recommend you read this one. I would even like to read this book again to my younger siblings. That is how much I enjoyed it!

This is Historical Fiction book. this is a Blog Post.

This book was an amazing read. Just wonderful. It made me laugh, cry and get so, so angry. the story is an eye opener into the world of an animal. Even with it being a fictional book I could totally see this as being a real life situation. This book is about friendship, and the hardship of being a beastly gorilla. Ivan doesn't like remembering his passed, so he chose to forget it. In doing that he lost a part of himself. Once ruby arrives and he tells his story's he wants something better for her. This book makes you want to look at your life and see how you can fix some of the things in your life. While reading this i thought of how I could put this into my future classroom, and being able to have a safe environment for the students to learn and create they wild wonderfully. If i were to cut them off from the world and imagination it could demolish their chances of fully becoming what they should be.

There are many different shades of color in this world and that is one of the things that make us different and unique. This book suggests that we all should be proud of where we came from and who we are. We should all be ourselves and do anything and everything that makes us happy.

This is a Loretta Scott-King Award Winner . This is a Defining Quote.

"Popoca refused to move. He stayed next to Izta, just as he had promised when he first met her. As long as tonatiuh rises, as long as the cenzontle bird sings."
I found this book to be very heartfelt. It kind of reminded me of Romeo and Juliet in some way. This book shows the love and dedication between the two characters. It was really sad when Izta had been killed because a soldier had lied and told her that Popoca had been killed in battle. Poppa would not leave her side and was confident that she would wake up, even though she never did. I would definitely read this book again.

I would finish it the same day. I really enjoyed watching him go through the everyday life of a regular kid. I live the pictures throughout it that explain what you are reading. The way the book is written makes me think of an actual student writing it. It reminds me a lot about The Last Kids On Earth book. They are both written in the same format. The book is a good read and one of my favorites from my childhood.

This is a Non-Fictional/Informational Book. This is a Book Review.

The Boy who Hardnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba is a book about a boy named William dreamed about building and taking things apart. William and his family were very poor and they worked in the fields. He had to drop out of school and he could only eat one meal per day. He went to the library where he learned of windmills. He learned those windmills could produce electricity and pump water. He went to the junkyard and got different parts to build a windmill. His friends started to pitch in and help William build the windmill. People made fun of him for his attempt to create a windmill but William had faith. He eventually did make the windmill and his creation of the windmill would produce more food for him and his people.I really enjoyed reading this book. His fascination and determination to create something that would help many people is courageous and heroic. That is what made this story so great. People thought he was crazy do think he could make an impact but in the end, he did and in a big way.
