My daughter is 9 months old and in the mornings when she wakes up she babbles in her crib until I go in there. When I walk in and flip on the light she pops up and stands while shrieking with excitement until I pick her up. Sometimes she will get the giggles and I'm not even sure why. The other day she did it because she had the hiccups.
