The central idea of lines 19 through 29 in “Excerpt from No Horizon Is So Far” is that Liv enjoyed her journey. For instance, Liv states: “The view was just breathtaking, like nothing I had seen during my first trip to the continent”. This evidence shows that Liv has never seen anything that has caught her eye other than the view. In addition, Liv also states: “Hidden by that beauty was much danger as well”. This example shows that although the place she was at was dangerous, she was distracted by how beautiful the area looked. Overall, the central idea of lines 19 through 29 is that Liv had an enjoyable experience on her journey.

The central idea of “Excerpt from No Horizon Is So Far: Two Women and Their Extraordinary Journey Across Antarctica” in lines 19 through 29 describes the experience throughout the journey. According to the text it states, “I wished we had time to detour and touch the mountains on either side of the glacier, but we were already behind schedule, so we would merely pass between them.” This evidence states that during the expedition, there were times in which Liv would’ve wished to get the opportunity to thoroughly examine the area, however, due to being behind schedule, they could not, and had to just sled by. According to the text it also states “Everywhere I looked, I could see jagged lack rocks and glinting white ice and snow. Hidden by that beauty was danger as well: bottomless chasms in the ice that could swallow us and our sleds with one false step.” This evidence describes that the scenery might’ve been wonderful, however, if Liv got too distracted with the scenery, she would fall into danger with one wrong move. To conclude, the central idea of “Excerpt from No Horizon Is So Far: Two Women and Their Extraordinary Journey Across Antarctica” describes the experience throughout the journey.

A central idea of lines 19-29 of “Excerpt from No Horizon Is So Far: Two Women and Their Extraordinary Journey Across Antarctica” is Liv’s journey was at a neutral state. A detail that explains this is in lines 19-21, it states, “Our tent was a red tunnel of fabric with two small foyers, one at the tent opening and the other at the rear. It was about 3.5 feet tall, so one could sit up inside but walk only hunched far over.” This shows that the tent that Liv and Ann were inside of was a bit small for them to actually walk properly. Another detail that shows Liv’s journey was at a neutral state is in lines 26-28, it states, “Everywhere I looked, I could see jagged black rocks and glinting white ice and snow. Hidden by that beauty was much danger as well: bottomless chasms in the ice that could swallow us and our sleds with one false step.” This shows how under all of the ice and snow, it would be dangerous for her to cross if she made one wrong move. This shows how Liv’s journey was at a neutral state.

In the article it states that “ Hidden but that beauty was much dangerous as well: bottomless chasms in the ice that could swallow us and our sleds on false steps.”. This shows that the journey was amazing and she saw the ice beauty but it was dangerous.

The central idea of lines 19 through 29 is how Liv Arnesen’s journey with Ann Bancroft was deceiving due to Liv describing the view as breathtaking but also mentions how one wrong step could end them up in an endless pit. The text states in lines 23-25, “ I slipped out of my sleeping bag and out of the tent. The view was just breathtaking, like nothing I had seen during my first trip to the continent. Queen Maud Land is rockier than my previous starting point had been. Everywhere I looked, I could see jagged black rocks and glinting white ice and snow” This shows that the Arctic was beautiful at a spectating view due to the sparkling snow and ice and the large black-jagged rocks she had seen but there could also be danger lurking within. Another piece of evidence from the text is, “ Hidden by that beauty was much danger as well: bottomless chasms in the ice that could swallow us and our sleds with one false step. The intense duality of this place was for me part of its lure.” This shows that the author knows the arctic is very deceiving by its looks and how its beauty was part of its lure and how one wrong move could put them in serious danger. To conclude, the central idea of lines 19 through 25 is how some places such as the arctic can be deceiving by their looks and one wrong move or step could lead to certain dangers or death

A central idea of the lines 19 through 29 was how truly beautiful the trip was to Liv, shedding the view of the place in a positive light, but also taking in the dangers of the place, describing the danger of the place as well. For example, in lines 24 and 25, Liv states ‘’The view was just breathtaking, like nothing I had ever seen during my first trip to the continent.’’ This example shows the positive side to Liv’s journey, describing the view as ’breathtaking’ and was like nothing she had ever seen during her first trip. Another example is lines 27 - 29, Liv states, ‘’Hidden by that beauty was much danger as well: bottomless chasms in the ice that could swallow us and out sleds with on false step.’’ This example shows the danger of the place that's hidden from its beauty, describing what would happen if Liv gets too distracted and takes a false step. Therefore, from the beauty of the trip to Liv, while providing some of the dangerous aspects of her trip as well, it creates a central idea in lines 19 - 29.

The central idea of the text is that a journey won't always be so interesting or exciting to anyone, But it can still be enjoyable. The text evidence to support this statement is, “Ann woke me up at 7:30 on our first morning on the ice. I hadn’t slept well.” This evidence shows that Liv doesn't want to wake up so early, and she didn't sleep well either. Another text evidence is, “I slipped out of my sleeping bag and out of the tent. The view was just breathtaking, like nothing I had seen during my first trip to the continent." This shows that Liv still enjoyed the journey because she liked the view of the continents.

A central idea of the article is that she really likes being there in Antarctica. In lines 24 and 26, it states, “The view was just breathtaking, like nothing I had seen during my first trip to the continent. . . Everywhere I looked, I could see jagged black rock and glinting white ice and snow”. This evidence shows how Arnesen is loving the beautiful view. According to lines 43-45, Liz Arnesen states, “I wished we had time to detour and touch the mountains on either of the glacier. It was more tempting. But we were already behind schedule”. This goes to show that she would have liked to stop a touch the mountains but she had to keep moving to get back on schedule.
