kino- he was loyal to his family and then he got greedy and he didn't listen to Juana and Coyotito died
" Then without a warning he struck the gate crushing blow with his fist. ¨ This shows that he is loving, and cares for his child.

Juana- "She looked full into his eyes for a moment. "No," she said. "We go with you¨.
As my quote is this shows that she is loyal, faithful, and devoted to stay with him even after what he has done to her.
She changes as when she has her baby Coyotito she thinks she has to stay with Kino because of the baby. To where now she thinks they are both equal because they lost something of importance and she is obedient .

A lesson we can learn from Kino's story is greed leads to destruction. In the story Kino finds a pearl that he think is worth alot. He then later on in the story gets greedy for the money he thinks he will get. We see that it lead to destruction by him ending up killing, and hurt people in the procession all because of his fortune. We can apply this to real life, by not getting greedy, and not always thinking about yourself.
