Students will be investigating the medical issue of M'Kenna who is a middle school student just like them. This assignment has many components that include keeping a notebook log of the clues and data, writing assignments, focus questions, and a list of questions students want to know about why M'Kenna's body is failing her. The main portion of the assignment is the detailed summary of how M'Kenna could be treated (how could the body heal itself?).<br><br>Students will work on collaboration, critical thinking, and generating good questions. <br><br>Connects to Learning Objectives II, III, and IV. <br>This assessment highlights all the the CCC's listed above as well as Cause and Effect. <br><br>Covers the Science and Engineering Practice of Planning and Carrying out an Investigation as well as Engaging in Argument from Evidence. </div>]]></description>
