Cognitive

The ability to process, verbal, and non verbal. Some other aspects to consider is what type of learner the student is, and how they learn.

Linguistic

This factor depends on the students motivation to learn, and how proficient the student is in their first language.

Physical

This factor relates to how much support is given at home as well as how often the language is practiced.

Affective

This factor takes into consideration the time of day student is using/ practicing the language. It also considers the students sense of self, and self esteem.

Socioculture

This factor considers how the status of the language is perceived or valued, and how culture is valued at home.

Political

This factor considers the political concepts around a language, for instance, immigration laws or language policies.
