A true scholar in the arts of History. Your ways of teaching are much more effective and inspiring than any other teacher. You helped me appreciate my father’s endless love for history and his countless rambles about wars that go on for hours. I have truly a new interest and love for history. You helped me open my mind to solving and thinking for myself. You helped me understand the “why” behind the facts and I couldn’t be more thankful. It’s much better to be taught with feeling and “stepping into ones shoes” than memorizing dates and such. I always get bored when my dad rambles about his history knowledge, but never was I once bored in your class. I was always intrigued and thinking. I appreciate the wonderful atmosphere you gave us during 9th period. I always looked forward to 9th period since I knew I was in for an interesting conversation about our country’s past and possible future. Thanks.

Thank you so much for a wonderful year. I truly enjoyed coming to class each day, and having everybody share their insight on certain topics. This was definitely one of my favorite history classes, and I am truly grateful that you were my teacher. I learned a lot, and was able to actually enjoy history, as I am usually not intrigued by it. You provided us with many resources so all different types of learners could learn, and you did not just teach; you shared information. I had such a great time, and this class was a wonderful environment to collaborate, as well as learn history from a true historian. I really appreciate all you did for me, and I hope to see you in the halls next year. You are an example of the way someone should teach a history class, and all of your past and future students are lucky to have you.

Your teaching style suffers under the system you have to work in, and   I've often had to sideline your content because of other grades I'm worrying about, but you remain my favorite teacher from kindergarten to right now.  The discussion-style teaching you do is really fun to listen to(even if I'm filled with deep anxiety whenever you call on me). Just listening to you talk about anything, be it politics or the civil war or current events, is enough to make me excited to go to your class. Your class allows people to unwind after a long day of stressful work(which is especially why I liked it being at the end of the day), and your class is the only one I ever did ungraded work for; it would feel like a gesture of disrespect to you and what you stand for if I didn't. So, uh thank you.
