Your Name was one of the most important films of 2017. It talks about searching that someone or something that makes our life different. Its a beautiful piece of art, maybe with a slow start but ends with a remarkable, emotional and powerful ending.

The writer and director of the movie was Makoto Shinkai, he takes a strange concept and uses it to make a beautiful story of melancholy and love. The set up is pretty small, the main character are Mitsuha, a girl tired of her boring life in the country side and wanted to live in the city, her voice was made by Mone Kamishiraishi and Taki, a boy that lives in the city and is boring about the same routine very day, his voice was made by Ryunosuke Kamiki. The plot is about how after a comets rain Taki and Mitsuha start changing places and living in the life of the other, they notice that they are changing and start giving rules to the other person in order not to affect their lives. Because of that changes they started to fell in love and they start searching each other.

Makoto Shinkai, used a perfect animation for the movie, making a perfect representation of the city of Tokyo, it seems like the animation was like a picture of the real place and he plays with the colors using the most warm one to decorate scenarios and the most cold ones to create sad scenes. The music in the movie is marvelous and it was made by Rapidwinds, this music helps the movie to create scenarios and to feel what the characters are living.

Maybe something that many peolple would criticize about the movie is the fact that is made by animation, but this helps to create scenes that would be hard to made with real actors. Also the animation helps to make tha places more colorful.

It has been traduced in more than 7 languages, in order to have more fans all around the world and to avoid problems like not knowing the original language of the movie.

Your Name has been nominated to a lot of prices just like Best Animated Film, Best Animated Feature - Independent, Best Animated Feature Film, Best Screenwriter, Best Asian Film, Best Music Score and a lot more. It is a movie that impacted on the society that much that many cinematographic companies are trying to buy the rights of the movie in order to create a live action, but Makoto Shinkai has rejected this proposal, because, he doesn´t thinks that he´s movie need to be recreated by real actors he thinks he has already created the movie just like he used to imagine, for him his masterpiece is already done and he does not think that making it again would make the movie better.
