The market revolution brought new technology to all sections of the United States to help boost the new nation to an all new level. The North found upon factories to help boom businesses and produce a huge amount of product to summit their economy. The Midwest brought new roads and canals to maximize transportation efficiency and get crops, clothes and many other items from point a to point b the fastest they could. Lastly, the South was introduced to the cotton gin which made an insane increase in the production of cotton and cotton products to make the cash crop even more valuable. All these new inventions brought together one of, it not, the most powerful economies at the time which swung America into becoming a strong nation.

The market revolution had great impacts on all of America through transportation that made traveling a lot quicker and easier for the whole country. Inventions such as the canal affected the North because through canals they were able to connect the Hudson Bay to the Great Lakes, which made a faster and more efficient trade route . Railroads and trains in the south were important to the farmers for transporting their goods and bringing exports a lot faster. The steamboat was used a lot in the Midwest to quickly navigate across the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. This led to expansion in the United States, which turned America from a struggling country to a booming country.

The market revolution greatly impacted varies regions of America, including the Northeast, Midwest, and the South by creating an import and export economy . The Midwest received a lot of attention from yeoman farmers that fled from the South, in order to be apart of a less limited economy and have more land to farm. Through their agriculture, they were able to export cash crops and other commodities. Due to the market’s high demand for crops, the South needed more laborers, increasing their use of slavery in society to help their economy survive. The Northeast grew in industrialization because of the implementation of trains and steamboats, facilitating trade with other states. The market revolution boosted the economy in many ways by promoting trade and the production of goods.

In the Midwest, new technologies in agriculture led to a surplus of crop production. While the impact the market Revolution had on agriculture in each region might have been slightly different, the technologies that were produced during the Market Revolution brought forth great prosperity in agriculture all across the United States.

The north followed Britains influence by making factories and employing unskilled laborers, the south had the advancement of the cotton gin that allowed them to harvest substantially more cotton, and the Midwest made an advanced system of railroads that allowed products to be shipped anywhere.By harvesting more cotton, shipping it off to the northeast on railroads, and making that raw cotton into products made these advancements work together in a way that allowed these regions to all make large amount of money.

The market revolution had a great impact on the north, south, and Midwest through agriculture. Agriculture in the was heavily boosted by the cotton gin making slaves able to produce pounds more cotton for the north. The North used the cotton in textiles to manufacture goods and with that the north need jobs which were filled by unskilled workers, unskilled immigrants, and young women. With all the north jobs being filled by immigrants and women many people from the north or immigrants who came to America with foundational money moved into the Midwest arena becoming farmers and expanding the Midwest population and economy. With all the plantations and machines in the south to farm it was harder to smaller farmers to make profit making the white yeomen leave the south going to the Midwest mainly Ohio becoming farmers helping to expand the economy in the Midwest. The market revolution through agriculture helped develop a diverse national economy.

Many Germans and farmers, Yeoman farmers, moved to the Midwest to make money because the North and South became less profitable. The South was impacted through farmers fleeing due to economic limitations and slave society.

The market Revolution impacted the three regions of the U.S, North, South, and Midwest, by increasing production rates of agriculture in the South. With the Industrial Revolution being introduced to the U.S. innovations like the cotton gin were introduced. These cotton gins helped the south produce up to 50 pounds of clean cotton a day compared to the previous 1 - 2 pounds of clean cotton produced per day. With this, the North was buying more cotton, which boosted the southern economy through Northern sales and foreign exports, to make mass amounts of new clothes; introducing new fashions and cheaper clothes which improved the Northern economy through the large wave of sales. Thus affecting the Midwest who now had the sole job of producing food for the whole country, and with the Eerie canal and more railroads large amounts of crop could be transported at once allowing large amounts of money coming in to steadily increase the Midwestern economy.

The market revolution had a great impact on the north, the south, and the Midwest. It led to an increase in transportation and an increase in roads like the old national road in the Midwest, railroads often stretching from the south and becoming common in the north, and canals often in the north to connect the many rivers to the Great Lakes in the Midwest. In the Midwest the market revolution led to an increased amount of farmers and small business owners. In the north there was an increase in factories and other industrial manufacturing. In the south there was mass agriculture and the market revolution led to many cash crops often grown on large plantations. The increase in all these areas led to an increase of transportation often through these railroads, regular roads and canals which greatly increased in quantity to carry the increased freight of cash crops from the south, manufactured goods in the north and other crops and small products from the Midwest.

Many immigrants, especially from Ireland and Germany, came to America, specifically the Northwest, because of the job opportunities in the many factories that were in the north. On the other had many Americans, for example, the Yeoman farmers, migrated from the South to the Midwest, to escape the economic limitations of the south. Because of imagination as well as migration, the population of the Northwest, Midwest, and South changed drastically as a result of the market revolution.

The market Revolution had a great impact of the northeast, the Midwest, and the South by introducing new technologies to each region which helped grow their economies and transportation in each region. In the northeast, technologies that advanced transportation, such as railroads, were created and technologies that advance economies, such as the factory system, were made. In the south, a technological innovation was made in the cotton gin, in which the machine helped separate cotton seeds from the cotton. In the Midwest, they mainly adopted technologies from the other regions, such as railroads from the northeast, and they also developed some farming technologies from the South to help with wheat farming. These technologies ultimately increased the development of each of these regions by farming output in the south drastically increasing, factory production and manufactured goods production and distribution in the northeast substantially increasing, and the northeast’s farming production increased and interconnectivity developed to a greater degree. Also, this lead to all of the regions relying on each other for economic purposes in an interlinked way.

For the Northeastern portion of the United States from 1817 to 1825 the Erie Canal was developed to run from Albany all the way to Buffalo. In the West the development of the National Road from 1811 to 1834 spanned from Cumberland Maryland all the way to the border of Illinois. Lastly in the south, while slow, railroad development spanned all throughout and even went as far down as Jacksonville Florida by the 1860’s. All of these developments of transportation in the United States made the country more interconnected, allowing for faster travel of people, goods, and ideas.

The market Revolution impacted the North, West, and South regions through the increase of migration and immigration, affecting economic changes. The Northeast experienced an industrial growth through Europeans migrating in search of new economic opportunities after innovations occurred. The Midwest experienced the reliance of agriculture which led to expansion caused by movement of people towards more urban areas looking for jobs to fill. The South experienced the movement of people such as the Yeo people, looking to escape economic limitations, and a lack of industrialization which let to a reliance on slavery and the use of cash crops. This immigration therefore impacted the amount of labor that was occurring in each region based on the number of people there were, which changed the economy and industrialization in each region through the market revolution.

This linked the northeast’s economy to the rest of the economy by allowing the transportation of goods to other parts of the country which boosts their economy . Transportation also impacted the Midwest due to the increased migration caused by it bringing them to the west for better cheaper land. Southern farmers saw cheaper and better land in the Midwest causing a lot of farmers to immigrate there.
