Their games and entertainment is one area that influenced our modern civilization by shaping what games we play today.  Many aspects of their games and entertainment helped Rome/Roman greatness develop by letting them still be about to relax and have fun. This could have brought some of the stress out of their lives which allowed them to become more productive.
