Salva limped on slowly through the blisteringly hot, menacing desert of Sudan. The sun beat down on him and his feet were sore, but he kept on moving, searching for life, giving water and hope. He didn't stop for long rests as the vast desert was both hostile and unforgiving; the sand was scalding and the wind blew harshly across his path. Even though he was tired and sometimes scared, he pressed on, thinking that every step bring him closer to a safer place. His journey was long and lonely, yet his courageous heart kept him determined to discover a better life. Salva was desperate to collapse his exhausted body onto the exposed rocky ground. They had been walking for ages and he was tired.
