The Ancient Egyptians took advantage of where they lived. That is most likely why they stayed in one place, for a very long time. Because they stayed in one place for a long time they learned to predict when the Nile River Delta would flood. We can tell today that the Ancient Egyptians stayed in one place because they had civilizations along the bank of the River Nile Delta. The ancient Egyptians also took advantage of where the live, because the were very successful farmers and merchants. That is most likely why they had a very strong economy. In Understanding People in the Past, by Rosemary Rees it says "These harvests made it possible for the Egyptians to develop one of the world's greatest civilizations".Ancient Egyptians could have used the Nile Delta for transportation. The Nile Delta was also helpful for farmers. The water provided fertile soil for farming. According to Understanding People in the Past, by Rosemary Rees, on page 7 "It was the soil that helped make Egypt such a great country".

In Ancient Egypt the social pyramid was very ridged. Ancient Egyptians had very little chance of moving up the social pyramid. The Teacher's Curriculum Institute says "Most people were in the same social class as their parents". Most classes were very unlike each other. According to the Teacher's Curriculum Institute, "The classes near the top had fewer people and enjoyed higher status". That shows that there we fewer people the higher on the social pyramid you were. You had an advantage if you were higher ion the social pyramid.
