Many people on September eleventh sacrificed their life for others. In the dictionary sacrifice means an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession as an offering to God or to a divine or supernatural figure. One of the greatest causes of failure in life is the inability to make sacrifices. On September eleventh many people made sacrifices. Many firemen and women, police men and common people ran into that tower to try to save other lives. So many lives were lost on 9/11 but there could have been more lives lost if it weren't for first responders. Grownups tell their kids often that an attack or something scary will happen. But they also tell their kids to not worry and that everything will be okay.

Many people showed different ways of compassion to risk their lives to save others. Dictionary definition, Compassion - sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. In my own words compassion means showing love, care, and suffering mourning. People need to show compassion to others when someone or something has died or gone through pain. Many people suffered during 9-11. Family members and friends lives were lost. Many parents were concerned about their children because they could not get intouch with their children. Many people injured and have broken bones. Patience mourn in pain while getting treated. I concluestion many people mourning with grief and pain. We should remember all those who survived and lost someone special in 9-11.

For example, going into the tower. Although many lives were lost there would have been more if it weren’t for all the first responders that went into the towers and rescued many people. Even though some people’s family members weren’t in the towers or around they still cleaned up, and visited people in the hospital. Some say September 11 was a day our nation came together, had peace, and everyone sacrificed their live for other.

Bravery is a characteristic that most heroes share. The definition of bravery is courageous behavior or character. Many brave people sacrificed their lives for others during 9/11. Someone who showed bravery was the twenty-four year old Welles Crowther. Welles helped many people that day by continually going into the tower and saving dozens of people. He directed dozens of people to the stairways carrying an injured woman down fifteen floors to safety. Another person that shows an act of bravery is Moira Smith. She was the first to report the September 11th attacks. She ran into the towers and started helping the people. Smith was very calm during the situation and is remembered with saving many lives. Another person that showed bravery during 9/11 is twenty-seven year old Former U.S. Marine. Jason Thomas searched through the rubble of the towers that could fall at any moment. On 9/11, there were many brave people who sacrificed everything to help others.

Sacrificing things for others is harder than it seems. When sacrificing things for others many things can go wrong, especially if there is a danger involved. Many people sacrificed themselves for others in 911 and ended up losing his or her life. For example, Ronald Paul Bucca was a FDNY Fire Marshal. Bucca died on the seventy-eighth floor of the tower. He died responding to the collapse. Another example of this, is the group of people on flight 93 who smashed into a plain of land in Pennsylvania. A group of these people decided to do something about the plane that they soon realized was hijacked. These people took time to call their loved ones and warn them that they may not be coming home soon or at all. Overall, sacrifice can be worth a lot more than it seems.

Caring for others can make people feel loved, cared for, and happy. Caring is showing kindness and concern for others. Many people cared for others on 9/11 when they needed it. On 9/11, there was a man named John Feal. Feal was helping people on 9/11 when one of the towers collapsed and fell on his left foot. Feal said his foot was squirting blood out of it six feet in the air. After 9/11, Feal started trying to get medical compensation for 9/11 first responders. Also, on 9/11 there were two former Marines that were living their life. When they heard about the news, they rushed home and got their uniforms. They got to the towers, and searched through the destruction of the towers. They found two people alive. Hospitals around Manhattan cared for all of the people injured in 9/11. There were many people who cared for the victims of 9/11.

Sacrifice means offer or kill as a religious sacrifice. Welles Crowther sacrificed a lot. Crowther was an equities trader at Sandler O'Neill and Partners on the 104th floor in the South Twin Tower. He wherever he went, including the terrifying day of the attack of September 11, 2001. After the planes was also a Volunteer FireFighter in his spare time. He always kept a red bandana in his pocket hit, Crowther went up to the 78th floor where normal first responders could not go, to try to help more people. He directed two groups of survivors to the only standing stairs. He was known to the strangers as “the man in the red bandana” because he was wearing the same bandana he always had in his pocket. He was believed to be going back up to the 78th floor with the jaws of life when the south tower collapsed. To me, Welles Crowther sacrificed a lot on that terrible day to save others and to me is a true hero of the terrorist attack of September 11,2001.

Compassion means sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. Many Americans had much compassion for 9/11. Pat Till is one of the heroes who had compassion for 9/11. Patrick Daniel Tillman was born the oldest of three brothers on November 6, 1976, in San Jose, California. He played linebacker for Arizona State University, where during his senior year he was named Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year. In 1998, Tillman was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals. He became the team’s starting safety as well as one of its most popular players. In 2000, he broke the team record for tackles with 224. In May 2002, Tillman turned down a three-year, multi-million-dollar deal with the Cardinals and instead, promoted by the events of 9/11, joined the Army along with his brother Kevin, a minor-league baseball player. The Tillman brothers were assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment in Fort Lewis, Washington, and did tours in Iraq in 2003, followed by Afghanistan the next year. After he enlisted in the army they went to war with Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban for his country. Pat Tillman was the most compassionate person along with all the other heroes.

One that stood out to me is Jason Thomas he is one of many people who showed bravery in 9/11. He was in the army put in different groups whether it be the army or navy.He was retired but he saw on the news that the twin towers came down. So he hoped in his car and went 125 miles a hour to get there this is just one of his acts of bravery. Another is when he arrived he put on his uniform and went through debris to try to find people. As he was doing this his friend from the navy was there also helping together they save 6 people.

Bravery was something that many people had in 9/11.The people that took a chance to go in the fire and save people they probably did not even though are the real heroes.“Courageous behavior or character” is the definition of bravery.People should always have bravery in everything in life. There are many different ways of being brave some people are brave by going up a trying to steal a car without being caught, and the bravery of someone risking their life for someone else. Pat Tillman is a great example of a hero because he left the NFL to join the military and fight for what he felt was best and had enough bravery to join a program where you are most likely not to come home alive. The day of 9/11 America came together and became stronger and now we are better, stronger, braver, and always ready for a challenge. No one was asked to come help with the saving of the people they just had their own bravery and kindness to come help and when others saw people helping then they took their bravery and went to help too which lead to so many people trying to save the life of others and risking their own. This was a very awful day but we need to remember that this is the day America changed and became the strongest they had ever been and maybe ever will.

Many people have sacrificed their lives on this day were america changed. In an online dictionary it states that sacrifice means an act of offering to a deity something precious; especially: the killing of a victim on an altar. True sacrifices are from true and kind hearted people that are brave enough to commit such kind acts to other people. Pat Tillman is a hero that was a professional football player that left the nfl to join the military due to the families that died in 9/11. Mark bingham is another example of a person that made sacrifices he is among the people that were on the plane the was heading towards the white house and prevented it from happening ang taking his own life to save many others. 2 heroic men put on there military uniform and went to the rubble and saved people. People made many sacrifices that have affected them or their family for life.

9-11 caused a lot of people to come together to be very compassionate towards others. The Webster dictionary definition of compassion is sympathetic conscious of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it. That describes many on 9-11. There were a lot of people involved in 9-11 weather they were on the plane or in the building. There were a couple of people that stood out and were very compassionate. One very compassion person on 9-11 was Welles Crowther. He was a banker in the 1st building that was hit. He stayed very calm and called his mom to let her know he was ok. He helped a lot of people out of the building including caring a woman down 17 flights of stairs. He made it out of the building before it fell. He was just 24 years old. Rick Rescorla was a veteran that called his wife and said “Stop crying, I have to help these people out safely. If something should happen to me, I want you to know I have never been happier, you made my life. He was very compassionate about his wife knowing he was safe and helping people out. Ronald Paul Bucca was a fire marshal with FDNY. He died responding the 79th floor of the south tower moments before it collapsed. These are all very compassionate people that saved a lot of lives on 9-11 and we remember them everyday.
