The conflict in Redwall, is really clear-cut. It essentially involves Cluny and his evil band of scoundrels along with the animals in Redwall Abbey, as they fight in and around the abbey

The conflict between the two groups, is a metaphor for an "underdog" fighting a "big bad" (or some sort of "overdog") with more experience.

This relates to conflict in the world today. For example, there's the American presidential election of 2016. In the election, a sort of underdog with little to no actual experience* (Donald Trump), beat an "overdog" (Hillary Clinton), who had that experience*.

(*Political experience)

The major conflict of this story is the horribly paced plot. In all seriousness, Charlie is in a man vs man/man vs self situation. He finds out that he has been falsely accused of the 🤬 of his best friend over a year ago and can't remember the past year of his life. He spends a lot of the story attempting to remember what has happened. I don't believe I know anyone who has been accused of murdering their best friend and not remembering the past year of their life, so I'm going to have to say that this books conflict doesn't relate to anything in our world today. How someone is mentally able to come up with such a ludicrous story idea is beyond me.
